Digital Vector Logo
Heat News Logo

Case Study
This was a logo I created for a news program we would produce for my former employer at our site. My partner and I collaborated on multiple projects, this being one of them. We wanted to have the feel of a real news channel. The image includes the site director and the Sr. Managers that were the main anchors on the show. The purpose was to keep the site informed on anything going on in the site or the company.
The Client: Charleston CEC Site Sr. Managers and Sr. Site Director
The client was starting to produce a news segment that would keep the CEC employees informed on any happenings within the CEC and organization.
Target Audience:
The target audience is individuals between the ages of 18-65 who were employed in the CEC. The audience included many lines of business and the news segments needed to be inclusive to all.
The Problem:
The client wanted something to open the news segment with in post-production. They wanted the design to include all "anchors" and look similar to a real news channel logo.
Media Pieces:
-
A high-quality vector graphic that could be used in the opening sequence of their news segment and included in communications to the site.
Design Process:
My design process was to come up with some collateral that would meet the organizations branding guidelines and still be personalized to the local CEC. I captured images of each of the anchors and edited out the background. Then I found a globe I liked and edited it using approved color codes and added a little flare to the title line. I created a vector that was balanced and high quality.
